I don’t get Cryptocurrencies

I don’t get Cryptocurrencies

I don’t get bitcoin. Sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down, but I don’t understand why. After watching a documentary on cryptocurrencies, I think I became more confused on how the value increases so fast. With a stock, we can look at financial statements to see how the company is performing. We can see how much debt they have and compare it to their assets. We can see if the company is profitable or at least improving year…

$6000 Investment Update- February

$6000 Investment Update- February

Here is the update for February 18… which is pretty interesting because the market took a dip. For those of you that are new, last summer I was looking into investing using one of these Silicon Valley financial company startups. I was reading reviews based on offers, fees, investment minimum, etc., but I couldn’t find anything on how well they performed. Therefore, I conducted my own $1000 investment experiment where I invest $1000 through each of the companies listed in…

What if you Invested Instead

What if you Invested Instead

So a couple weeks ago, I wrote a blog post, My Laziness cost me $20K. And it got me thinking about how often do we let these types of opportunities slip by. Are you making a $20K mistake and not even know it? (I dunno, so you better read it..bahah.) Sometimes we might fight off the urge to buy new shoes, new Target home décor, or another Alexa, which is good. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need, which ugh, can…

Basic B* Financial Plan

Basic B* Financial Plan

It is a new year, and this is the time when people put action towards their goals so they can forget about them next month. I too am doing this; I have started my second week of meal prepping. Sunday I made tacos. I meal prepped chicken and ground beef, got canned corn and refried beans, cut up grape tomatoes and lettuce, purchased corn and crunchy tortillas. I even made rice, which I froze. This week I’ve had tacos, taco…

My Laziness cost me $20K

My Laziness cost me $20K

I am kind of lazy. I don’t like making my bed. I don’t like hand-washing my dishes (and like why, I have a dishwasher, which I don’t like emptying). I don’t like cleaning (Roomba is my homeboy). I am even thinking of getting another Alexa because I am too lazy to keep walking into the living room to ask it questions (but I am also cheap, so do I reeeallllly need another Alexa? TBD). Sometimes, I will be sitting on…

I’m a dumbass

I’m a dumbass

Today I went into the wrong Lyft. This morning I needed to get to the suburbs from the city, so I checked both the Lyft and Uber Prices. For Lyft Line, it was going to be $55, less my $10 off promotion, so $45 after discount. Uber was also $45. Ugh, so expensive. I’ve taken this ride in the past, and I know that it is usually $30-$35. So I waited 6 minutes, and then checked again. The Lyft Line…
